We traveled from Bergen,
on the west coast of Norway, to Oslo on the east coast. We
started on an Express boat through the Sognefjord to Flam. From
Flam we rode on the Flåm Railway to Myrdal, and then by train on
to Oslo. The Flåm Railway went through the mountains, and was a
great ride! The best part was that there were many waterfalls
along the way! We stopped and got out of the train for one of
them, the one in the photo above. You may click on the thumbnail
to see a larger version of the photo.
The rest of the photos were taken as I traveled on the train, in some cases through the window, although I tried to take them through the few inches the windows were open at the top. However, since I didn't have a window seat, I didn't get very good photos :-) In addiiton, I didn't have a map which showed the waterfalls along the route, so I don't know the names of any of them. But here they are - you can see the variety of waterfalls along the railway.
