Location: Boulder Canyon, west of Boulder, Colorado
Drop: 20 foot drop with another 20 foot cascade following
Water Source: North Boulder Creek
Directions: The .1 mile trail is about 8 miles west of Boulder on State Highway 119 (Canyon Blvd. in Boulder). There is a turnout and parking area across the road from the falls between mile markers 34 and 33 (closer to 33).
Notes: I visited Boulder Falls on January 3, 2003. The trail to the falls is well marked and easy to walk. There was no ice on it this time. Although there was a lot of ice at the falls, it was warm enough that the water was still visibly flowing over the rocks, which made it especially interesting to see.
