I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in speech correction in 1965 from Augustana College, Rock Island, Illinois. I used to be a Speech Therapist in the Westmer and East Moline school districts.
I received my Master of Science Degree in Educational Administration in 1982 from Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois. I also received my Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Administration in 1984 from Western Illinois University, Macomb, Illinois. I was an Elementary Principal and a Director of Special Programs at Pekin Elementary District in Illinois.
I completed my Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Educational Administration in May, 1999, at Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois. I was a graduate assistant and helped to support the research the Laboratory School teachers were conducting as well as created the web pages for their online journal Exemplary Practice.
