There are some falls in Cascade River State Park, located a few miles south of Grand Marias, Minnesota, just off M-61. According to information I received from the Minnesota Information center upon entering Minnesota from Canada, on an information sheet titled Wander the Northland's wonderful waterfalls: "The Cascade River drops 120 feet over waterfalls and cascades in its final quarter-mile before Lake Superior. From parking lots at the river's mouth, hiking trails run along both sides of the river to a footbridge just below one of the waerfalls. The trail climbs uphill, but isn't difficult."
We stopped at the park office and received a map of the falls area. The first trail took us to the bridge across the river, from which I took the first photos of the Cascades. Just across the bridge and looking upstream I took more photos of the Cascades. Then I walked on that side of the river downstream for a short distance and took the photo of Cascade Falls.
The song "Waterfall Waltz" was composed and recorded by Will Bush for use on my waterfall pages. Thanks Will!
