Bonanza Falls
- Water Source
- Big Iron River
- Location
- Ontonagon County, about 1 mile south of Silver City to
the west of M-64; from a parking area at a trail road
- Size
- The river is about 130 feet wide and drops about 10 feet
through a channel in the rock. It drops again about 3
feet about 200 yards downstream.
- Trail
- The trail is fairly short and easy to follow.
- Other Information
- The rock formation at this falls is one of the more
interesting that I found. When the water is low, the
rocks themselves are worth seeing, and you can walk much
of the way across the river on the rocks jutting out.
When the water is higher, the fall is much wider, but you
can see less of the rock. I found Bonanza Falls on May 3,
1992.
