Here are more frogs that were sent to me by friends. You may click on the thumbnail to see a larger version of the pictures.
I received a copy of
Neil Diamond's frogking logo from Eydie in Kentucky. She wrote,
"It's in black and white, as I don't have a color copier,
but the frog is two-toned green, the crown is gold, the guitar
strap is a medium brown (kinda tan) and the eyes are
reddish-orange." She also sent the lyrics to his song
"I Am...I Said." Thanks Eydie! Here
are the lyrics:
I AM...I SAID
words by Neil Diamond
L.A.'s fine, the sun shines most the time
And the feeling is layback.
Palm trees grow, and rents are low,
But you know I keep thinkin' 'bout
Makin' my way back.
Well I'm New York City born and raised,
But nowadays I'm lost between two shores.
L.A.'s fine, but it ain't home,
New York's home, but it ain't mine no more.
"I Am," I said,
To no one there.
And no one heard at all,
Not even the chair.
"I Am," I cried.
"I Am," said I.
And I am lost,
And I can't even say why,
Leavin' me lonely still.
Did you ever read about a frog who dreamed of bein' a king
And then became one?
Well, except for the names and a few other changes,
If you talk about me,
The story's the same one.
But I've got an emptiness deep inside
And I've tried,
But it won't let me go.
And I'm not a man who likes to swear,
But I've never cared for the sound of being alone.
"I Am," I said,
To no one there.
And no one heard at all,
Not even the chair.
"I Am," I cried.
"I Am," said I.
And I am lost,
And I can't even say why.
I just sent you one e-mail but thought of a song my nephew
Blair
sang to me this summer in Arkansas. It went: Oh Tommy Toad-Oh
Tommy Toad
Why did you leap out in the road (repeat) You thought that you
could jump
so far-but now you're smushed into the tar (repeat) ---It's to
the Oh XMAS
tree song. Also, You thought that you would have a thrill and now
you're
smushed right in my grill--Oh Tommy Toad Oh Tommy Toad why did
you leap out
in the road. There were several verses. We heard it all summer
and are
still singing it. It's catchy! Dede in East Texas
